WEEK 7 - REFLECTIONS

My first week back after Christmas! I thought it would be beneficial to look back at the work I had produced before the holidays, to revaluate the sampling and directions of my project. I created painted development samples done with different natural fabrics and natural dyes. I was not completely happy with the outcomes of these designs, as the dyes became muddy and there was not enough definition in its patterns. I decided to not take this technique further and move onto other ways of creating samples.

I felt inspired when looking back at my context research, of exciting, contemporary dip-dyes shown within different knitted fashion. This was a plan for next week, as my dissertation is due in a couple of days, and it has been a big focus for me instead of mostly textile work.
